New Power Steering Rack Mounting Kit for Lexus RX330 (2/03 – 11/05)
This Steering Rack Mounting Kit has been developed to improve the Steering Rack movement problems that are found in this range of Lexus RX330.
Using durable polyurethane bushings to positively locate the steering rack into the chassis, this dramatically improves the location on the steering rack and ultimately the feel of the vehicle on road. This high quality replacement mounting kit comes with our 2 year 40,000klm replacement warranty.
Kit includes – 2 x Driver-side ½ Bushings, 2 x Passenger-side ½ Bushings, 2 x new steel crush tubes and 4 x new steel supporting washers.
The original Rubber bushes have a steel outer shell, to remove the old bushes you will need to remove the steering rack from the vehicle and then remove the original bushings. This will require you to use a large screw-driver or pry-bar to knock the outer steel shell parts out of each side of the steering rack housing.
The series of photos shows how to knock out the original bushings.
Photo 1 - Knock the side of each original bush Steel outer shell, to remove the old bushing.
Photo 2 – Remove one side at a time.
Photo 3 – With one side of the original bush Steel outer shell removed use a large punch or presses to help remove the other side of the Original steel shell bushing.
Photo 4 – Push the new ½ Bushings into the housing and install the new steel crush tubes to both side mounts.
Photo 5 - Fit the new steel support washers to each side of the new bushings and install the rack back into the vehicle.
Our New Steering Rack Mounting Kit will fit all Lexus RX330 built from 2/2003 to 11/2005 for the Australian market.
