New Steering Rack Support Bracket Kit for Jeep Cherokee KK 9/04 – 12/07 with Petrol Engines.
If you use your Jeep Cherokee off-road then this kit is a must have upgrade.
We have seen customers using their Cherokee’s in off-road conditions that end up damaging the rack mounting brackets, this is because the factory mount is only single shear i.e. the rack mounting is only supported on the lower side of the rack mounting face. Our New rack support bracket makes the mounting of the steering rack double shear i.e. the rack is supported on both the upper and lower faces of the mounts on the cross-member.
This New Steering Rack Support Bracket Kit has been developed to add extra support to the rack main mounts as well as improve the Steering Rack movement problems that are found in this series of Jeep Cherokee.
Using a specially designed laser cut 6mm steel support bracket to positively locate the steering rack onto the chassis, this dramatically improves the location on the steering rack and ultimately the feel of the vehicle on and off road. The kit is an easy DIY installation and comes with all the hardware needed to bolt this bracket to your vehicle. All you need is a few tools and an electric drill with a 10.5mm drill bit and approx. 1 hour to fit it.
This high quality Steering Rack Support mounting kit comes with our 2 year 40,000klm replacement warranty.
The Kit includes – 1 x 6mm steel support bracket, 3 x new High Tensile Mounting Bolts, 3 x Nyloc Nuts, 6 x Mounting Bolt Washers, 2 x New Mounting Bolt Washers and 1 x instruction sheet.
Our Rack Support mounting kit are designed to fit the Jeep Cherokee KK series ranging from 9/04 to 12/07 with Petrol Engine fitted, however this kit can also be fitted to the Diesel engines but the Turbo intercooler pipe will need to be moved to give clearance to the bracket.
